OVERVIEW

The Orthopaedic Foundation is committed to advancing our medical research, medical education and community outreach initiatives. The Fundraising, Marketing and Event Internship will provide exposure to the fundamental workings of a medical non-profit Foundation as well as its fundraising events such as our annual gala, shop for a cause events and yearly campaigns. You will also gain exposure to the medical industry as well as our Bioskills Lab. In this role, you will learn the importance of professional communication, teamwork and critical thinking, while strengthening your professional skills. Passionate, strategic, creative and motivated individuals will be treated like an integral part of the team as they join us in supporting and furthering our Foundation’s mission and reach.

OBJECTIVES

Assist in marketing the Orthopaedic Foundation’s annual Gala Event as well as the Bioskills Lab in NYC. You will play an essential role in soliciting live and silent auction items as well as gift bag donations for the gala event. You will also help market the Bioskills Lab to medical companies as well as assist on special projects for the fundraising team. You will help strategize marketing efforts for the Foundation and play a key role in promoting the Foundation’s medical research, education and community outreach initiatives to the surrounding community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Collaborate on the development of fundraising and engagement campaigns with an emphasis on digital channels (email, website, paid search, display, and social) that build, maintain, and evolve a first-class and integrated donor experience

– Manage multiple tasks and projects, think strategically, and work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

– Work with the team to evaluate the impact of marketing initiatives in achieving revenue and engagement objectives

– Embody a curiosity for digital marketing trends, platform capabilities, and best practices

– Support team with partner and vendor relationship management

– Undertake a diverse volume of administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities

– Share ideas and give constant feedback – take pride in person and team success

PROGRAM DURATION
